SHORT FANFIC- MFK Part 3

Sorry it's so long (that's what he said)

The day before our wedding, I had forgotten all about what had happened with Anthony and I. All of my attention was focused on how I was going to look like and how my brides maids were gonna look like and that I was going to become Mrs. Turner.
I was at the church we were getting married in when I saw someone familiar come inside. I knew I had seen her before, somewhere but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly where.
She came up to me in a solemn way. “Hi, I’m Elizabeth…I’m the girl who…I…uh…saved Ian from what you were about to do…”
My whole body turned to jello. I didn’t know what to say.
“I just wanted to let you know that I forgive you too. I know what happened, that you were threatened to do something you didn’t want to do. And I also wanted to say sorry for putting you in the hospital. I just…I didn’t want Ian to get hurt.”
I nodded but still couldn’t find the right words to say. Somehow I ended up asking a simple question,
“How did you find me?”
“I…well, I had been following Ian around town and when I saw him talking to you in the parking lot I got more interested. I followed you both to your house when I witnessed you knock him out and take him inside your house. I was scared but knew I had to do something. That was when I kicked down your door, saw you with a gun to Ian’s head, and hit you as hard as I could with a baseball bat I found. I am so sorry, but I had to save Ian. He’s my idol…my inspiration. I loved him before he even knew who I was, and now…now we’re together. I also wanted to thank you for that.” She smiled at me and touched my shoulder. I was sort of disgusted by the way she had described what happened but I also felt a strange friendship forming.
I gave her a half smile, “Thanks. Now, excuse me a moment, I have some business to do.” I said as politely as I could.
“Oh of course, congrats on your big day by the way!”
“Thank you!” I immediately got excited and nervous. I was about to get married…to Toby Turner.
I started to get a little light headed so I sat down in a pew. Flowers and ribbons lined down the pews, it looked exactly the way I wanted it to. A couple of friends and family members were helping to decorate the building next door for the reception.
The guest list was insane too. Toby had YouTube friends I had never even met before, so being a former YouTube fan, meeting them would be a tremendous honor. I was excited to see who was going to show up and who I was finally going to meet.
I felt someone tap my shoulder so I turned around.
“What are you doing? You’re not supposed to see the bride before the wedding Toby, that’s bad lu—” Toby kissed me before I finished my sentence.
“Just wanted to see how you were holdin’ up babe. Don’t want you passing out before we get married. THAT’S bad luck.” He laughed.
I couldn’t help but smile and laugh along. His laugh, the one sound I could record and listen to on repeat. It was the sound I wanted to hear forever and ever, and today was the day we were going to prove to each other truly how much we loved one another.

A couple of hours later I was downstairs changing into my wedding dress. It was white with a pink ribbon tied around the waist and matching flowers embroidered the bottom of it. It was sleeveless which squeezed my boobs together and made me a little uncomfortable but I was definitely willing to turn down comfortableness for beautifulness. Toby hadn’t seen my dress yet and I made sure he wouldn’t ‘til the ceremony started. To be fair, I hadn’t seen what his tux looked like.
My maid of honor, Dallas helped me with my hair piece; it was a silver clip with pearls on it. She clipped it to the back of my curled hair and stood back, looking at me with tears in her eyes.
“You look gorgeous.” She said as a tear slipped past her cheek.
I giggled, trying not to cry with her, “Thanks. Don’t cry, or you’re going to make me cry. And I have too much makeup on for that.” I laughed as I wiped away her tear.
She stared into my eyes, “You listen to me. You are going to love this man more than any man you’ve ever loved before. You treat him right and be a good wife to him, okay? You are too special to lose such an amazing guy as him.”
I nodded and hugged her. She hugged back and we remained there hugging for well over twenty seconds. Finally she stepped back and took my shoulders as we heard the music start playing upstairs.
“I think it’s time to go.” She smiled. My heart skipped ten beats and I tried not to fall over yet again. Luckily I was wearing flats, an idea I was sure to thank my mother for.
All the bridesmaids gathered up and faced me. In the group there was my best friend Dallas, my other best friend Amelia, an internet friend I couldn’t get married without, Robin, and Toby’s best friend Justine. They all smiled at me and gave me a small hug before walking out the door and finding their groomsmen to walk down the isle with.
I took a deep breath before leaving the room myself. I saw all the ladies meeting up with their partners; Toby’s best friend Jack, his brother, and my two best friends Jayce and J. We all walked up the stairs and into the chapel they went, pair by pair. Finally, I heard Toby and my song start to play. It was the song that was playing when we first met at E3, “Zelda’s Lullaby”. We had hired a harp player to play it perfectly.
I took my father’s arm and the doors opened to reveal a church full of family and friends. They all stood up and I held back tears as I looked at my Toby. He was dressed in a black suit; his jacket and shirt were both black but his tie was a dark shade of pink and the flower pinned to him matched it all.
I slowly walked down the isle, not looking at anyone but Toby. I couldn’t dare to do so. I was scared that I’d look at someone who was crying and then just start crying myself. When we got to the end of the isle I turned to my father and hugged him as he handed me off to Toby. The music was still playing so we all waited until the beautiful melody was finished. I gave my flowers to Dallas so Toby and I could hold hands. We looked at each other and smiled as wide as we could.
“You look absolutely breathtaking.” Toby whispered to me. I hiccupped back a cry and giggled.
When the harp player was done, everyone sat down. Our pastor began talking about marriage and what part God played in all of it. Unfortunately, I was too focused on not crying and staring at Toby to pay attention to what he was saying.
When it was time to exchange vows, Toby was up first. I just knew this was where I was gonna lose it.
“My beautiful Alina, when I first saw you the first thought I had was, ‘this girl is stunning.’ I knew that we were going to have something, and hoped that something would take us far. And here we are, two years later getting married. I never thought I’d be this happy, never dreamed that I’d be marrying such an incredible woman. You are the first thought when I wake up every morning and the last thought before I go to bed. You’re the reason I want to live forever, so I can be with you until the end of time. I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love you. My life has been full of unfulfilled expectations and here you are, fulfilling them all. Thank you for being my girl, and I couldn’t be happier with anyone but you.” Toby couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. I was sure all of my makeup had smudged down my face by now. What I wasn’t sure of was if I was going to be able to speak.
“Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of getting married to the perfect man. I still can’t believe I’m here, living my dream with the man I love. Toby, I have never loved any man more than I love you.”
I heard a cough from the pews and turned my gaze towards the congregation. I saw Anthony walking up the isle and out of the church. The doors quietly shut behind him. I gulped but turned back to Toby and continued, “When I first heard of you I wasn’t sure if I’d like you even though my friends said I would. I watched your first video on YouTube and slowly fell for you. When I found out I was going to E3 I knew I had to meet you and I prayed that God would bring us together. For once in my unsatisfying life I got what I wanted. You are what I’ve always wanted. I’m so thankful and grateful to know you and I wouldn’t want it any other way. You are my dream man and I love you more than what I can put into words.” Toby smiled and wiped away the tears that fell onto my cheeks.
We exchanged rings and our pastor talked a bit more before he announced us,
“I now pronounce you man and wife. Toby, you may kiss your bride!”
Toby leaned in and I wrapped my arms around him. We kissed in a way we had never kissed before. It wasn’t raunchy like when we made out, or cutesy when we were in public, it was soft and light and…wedding-like. It was perfect.
The harp player started to play as we walked down the isle. Everyone stood up and clapped and woo-ed and whistled. I had never been this happy in my life.
When we exited the chapel we went outside with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to take pictures. It took a while but when we were all finished, I went to go find out where Anthony went.
I found Ian and Lizz sitting at a table with Anthony no where to be found.
“He went home.” Ian answered my puzzled expression.
My heart cracked a bit, I was regrettably sorry about what I had done to him. I wish I could’ve taken it all back. But this was my day, and I was determined to not let anything bring me down.
The wedding reception hall was gorgeous. All the decorations had been put up exactly how I imagined it and Toby was just as stunned as I was.
The night was perfect, we had so much fun dancing and laughing and starting our life together. The food was great, the people were amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more than what I got.
When the night had come to an end, more and more people came up to us saying goodbye and by the time I knew it, all that was left were close friends and family members.
“That was a beautiful wedding.” Lizz said as she walked up to us with Ian. He had his arm around her.
“Thank you so much.” I said smiling.
“You look gorgeous.” Ian spoke up and I blushed.
“Thank you.”
“Thanks for coming guys, so glad you could make it.” Toby shook Ian’s hand before pulling him into a hug. He gave Lizz a hug too and I followed his gesture.
“We’ll see you after the honeymoon?” Ian suggested.
“Yes of course!” I said.
“Sounds fantastic! Have an incredible night!” Lizz said as they turned around to leave.
“May I have one last dance with my wife?” Toby asked me.
“Yes you may Mr. Turner.” I giggled as he took my waist.
“Thank you Mrs. Turner.” He kissed me and we twirled on the dance floor as happy as any two people could be.

SHORT FANFIC- MFK Part 2

WARNING: This is when the fanfic starts to get TERRIBLE. The plot is so stupid haha but READ IT ANYWAY. KBIE

I decided it’d only be fair if I baked Ian some goodies and took them to his house to apologize. I knew just a simple sorry and baked goods wouldn’t do me any justice for kidnapping and almost killing him but it was a start.
I got directions from Toby, who had been to their house several times for filming. I decided to go alone because I thought it’d be a little intimidating if my fiancé was standing next to me as I tried to redeem myself.
I found my way to Ian’s house pretty well. When I parked next to their house, my stomach turned. I didn’t wanna mess this up worse than I already had. I had to apologize to him even if he didn’t accept it.
I took a deep breath, grabbed my container of cookies and cupcakes and walked up to their door with as much confidence as I could conjure up. I knocked on the door, perhaps a little too hard.
I waited a couple of seconds before the door opened. Anthony stood there, looking confused.
“Hellooo…” he greeted me awkwardly.
“Hi…is Ian here?” I peered behind him into the house.
“Nope, he went to run some errands. What are you doing here?”
“I’m…” I hesitated before telling him my name, “I’m Alina Renee…I, uh…I’m the girl who—”
“Yeah, I know who you are.” His voice was rough, “You’ve got some fucking balls coming here. You really want to talk to Ian?” I was scared to answer but he spoke too fast to allow me to, “He’s scarred you know. I hear him whimpering in his sleep a lot. And he doesn’t like tight spaces now. You ruined his fucking life.”
“I am unbelievably, incredibly, from the bottom of my fucking heart sorry. And just so you know, I’m scarred too.” I tried my best to describe my intense internal feelings.
Anthony was quiet. We stood there staring at each other before he opened the door wider.
“Come in.” was all he said, and I obeyed.
“You can set those on the counter.” He motioned to the kitchen and I set down the container.
He led me to the living room and we sat down on the couch.
“A girl named Elizabeth saved his life. He’s been trying his best to owe it up to her...They’ve been spending a lot of time together.” He spoke without looking at me.
“I’m glad.” I replied.
“Yeah…me too. She’s helped him a lot. More than I ever could.” His voice got softer with each word, “Just so you know…I forgive you. I heard that the man that threatened you got put in jail.”
I nodded. I felt the tears well up inside so I refused to talk in fear of breaking down in front of him.
“I’m grateful he’s gone…I don’t mean to sound like a creeper but—I visited you while you were in the hospital, just to make sure you were okay. Sure, I was angry at you for almost murdering my best friend but I felt a connection. A…a certain kind of sympathy for you and what you must’ve gone through to get there. Lizz hit you pretty damn hard, and she felt bad when she found out the whole story. As for Ian though, I don’t know if he’ll be as forgiving…” he looked into my eyes and I stared back. I didn’t know what to say so instead I did what my instincts told me to do.
I leaned in and kissed him. My tears fell onto Anthony and my connected lips but we didn’t separate; I felt a weird sensation…a sensation I had only felt when I was intimate with Toby. What scared me the most was the fact that I didn’t pull away from Anthony. Instead I leaned into him more and found myself on his lap, straddling him.
He wrapped his arms around my legs and stood up, carrying me towards his bedroom, our lips still smushed together. He flopped me onto his bed and our kisses became more passionate. I fumbled with his belt until I got fed up and pulled his already sagging jeans down. He had a more successful time with my pants and slipped them off with ease.
All that was left between us was his boxers and my panties, but when they were also removed, I had never felt closer to another person before. I tried my best not to think about Toby as Anthony was on top of me.
When we were finished, we both let out a huge groan. I lay in his bed and immediately began to cry again.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!” I exclaimed, pounding my fists on his bed frame.
“What? Was I really that bad?” Anthony tried to joke but I shot him a fiery look.
“I have to go.” I was shocked at the tone of my voice. I was guilty that I had to leave him, yet furious that I had betrayed Toby the way I had just did.
“What? Why?” Anthony had his pants back on and I finished putting on mine.
“Because I’m not here for you…I was supposed to apologize to Ian and instead I did a freak thing and…Anthony…I just fucked you and I’m engaged.” I realized what I said was stupid and cheesy but I didn’t have time to take it back. I was too angry to think straight.
“You’re…engaged?” I saw his spirit drop in an instant.
I didn’t say anything. Instead, I ran out of his room and into the living room. As I did, I saw Ian and a girl I supposed was Lizz walk through the front door. They stared at me in shock as I flew passed them and sprinted to my car.
I cried all the way home and avoided talking to Toby for the rest of the day. After the incident with Ian, Toby learned to understand my mood swings which was lucky for me yet at the same time was horrible. I wish I could’ve taken it all back; everything.

I kept getting phone calls from a number I didn’t recognize. I knew it was Anthony but I never answered him. A couple of days passed until I got a knock at my door. When I opened the door, it was Anthony and Ian. I took a step backwards and almost shut the door when Ian stopped me.
“Anthony told me about the container of cookies and cupcakes and why they were there.”
I gulped, “Oh yeah. I’m…I’m unbelievably sorry for what happened.”
“I forgive you.” His simple statement made me stumble back again.
“Th—thank you.” I smiled for the first time in days.
Anthony stepped up to the door and looked straight at me, “I need to tell you something in private.”
My heart started to beat faster and I nodded. Ian smiled at me and turned to go back to their car. I didn’t let Anthony into my house, I wouldn’t dare do that.
“I love you.” He burst out.
“What?!” I shouted.
“I can’t stop thinking about you, about us. What happened, I just can’t stop thinking about how close we were that one moment and how happy I felt. I just—”
“Stop it Anthony!” I yelled, “You barely even know me and you’re acting like we’ve known each other for years! That was a one time, bullshit freak accident that I wish I could take back! Listen…I like you, and I always have, since Smosh started but…I’m marrying the man of my dreams in a couple of days. I love him more than I love anybody else in the entire world. I’m sorry Anthony. I really am.” I looked into his eyes to try and give him my sincere apology.
“That’s…that’s just not good enough…” he whispered.
Suddenly, I felt someone behind me and turned around as my fiancé greeted his friend.
“Oh Anthony! Hey man, how’ve you been?” he high fived Anthony who tried his hardest not to blow our cover.
Toby put his arm around me and I smiled instinctively. Just his simple touch could turn my entire mood around.
Anthony watched my smile form in envy.
“Hey, nothing much, just stopped by with Ian to have a little chat with Alina about the incident.” He stumbled on words.
“Oh…how did that turn out?”
“Great, Ian forgave me and we’re all friends now!” I said.
“That’s great sweetie!” Toby kissed my cheek. “Hey Anthony, you and Ian should come to our wedding, it’s this weekend. Sorry it’s a short notice, but after everything that happened, I wasn’t sure if you two wanted to come.”
Anthony forced himself to nod, “Yeah, Ian and I would love to come.” The look he gave me stabbed through every inch of my body.
“Thanks man!” Toby high fived him again.
“Well…I guess I’ll just see you guys at the wedding…see ya.” Anthony gave me one last glance before turning around and treading off to his car.
Toby and I went back inside our house and he kissed me.
“Can’t wait to say our vows.” He smiled.
“Me neither.” I gleamed at him and pulled his shirt to give me another kiss.
Our wedding would pull me out of Anthony’s grip and into our new life together. I was excited to say the least.

SHORT FANFIC- MFK Part 1

Okay first let's do some explaining. So I played a game a couple of days ago called "Marry, Fuck, or Kill" and of course I got Toby, Anthony, and Ian. My choice was Marry Toby, Fuck Anthony and Kill Ian. My friend Elizabeth (lizzlufff) said she'd save Ian so I made up a mini short story and said it'd be a cool short fanfic. So I wrote it! It'll be in three parts: Part 1-Kill Part 2-Fuck and Part 3-Marry. So HERE WE GO WITH PART 1!

“Please…please don’t do this!” his voice echoed throughout my empty garage.
I stood on the concrete stairs with a gun clutched to my side. I didn’t want to do it, but I had to. If I didn’t I’d be killed myself.
“I’m sorry…I have to do this…” I said as I walked up to him.
I had managed to tie him to a chair and blindfolded him. I had no idea how I had gotten myself into this mess, but it was either me or him.
I untied his blindfold to reveal his crystal blue eyes. I tried not to look at into them directly because I knew if I did I wouldn’t be able to finish the job.
I held the gun up to his head and let the tears that had welled up from inside fall down my cheeks. He screamed his lungs out, shouting for me to stop.
“I’m so sorry Ian…” I squeezed my eyes shut just as I put my finger on the trigger and slowly pulled it.
Right as I did I felt an excruciating amount of pain on the back of my head and I fell backwards, hearing the bullet from the gun bounce against the walls. The garage went blurry as I tried to keep my eyes open. I saw someone run passed me and untie him.
“Wha-? No, stop!” I managed to blubber out. They ignored me and ran up the stairs into my house.
The last thing I remember was the door shutting behind them and my eyes closed as my mind blacked out.

How did I get myself into this mess? I was walking downtown to my house from the bar like I normally did every Saturday evening. I had heard a strange voice calling towards me from an alleyway but ignored it because I didn’t want to get into any trouble. As I passed the alley, the voice got louder so I started to jog further down the road. I heard footsteps behind me which caused me to start running. When I looked back, I saw a man in his late-twenties chasing me. He grabbed my arm and practically ripped it out of its socket. He dragged me back to the alley I had passed and threw me against a dumpster.
“You listen to me and you listen good. You’re gonna do something for me now. I’ve got this gun here and you’re gonna take it and kill this guy.” He held up a picture of a boy, about 23, making a stupid face.
“THAT’S IAN HECOX!!!!” I exclaimed, “What the hell?! Why?!”
“He’s a fuckin’ idiot. He’s a supposed ‘internet sensation’ with his dumb ass friend.”
“Yeah, I fucking know who they are, that’s Smosh. I can’t fucking KILL Ian! What the fuck man?!”
“You kill him, or I’ll kill you. YOU UNDERSTAND?!” the man held the gun up against my cheek. I could smell the metal and gulped.
“Ye-yeah…I understand.” I said as I started to cry.
He pulled out another gun and gave it to me, “Take this. I know where he lives. All you have to do is seduce him and when the time is right, KILL THE BASTARD.”

I woke up in a hospital bed. I had no idea what the hell had happened. I looked around the room. Someone was breathing softly so I looked to my left and saw a boy sitting next to me. I recognized him at once. My fiancé was asleep in a chair, holding my limp hand. I smiled, happy to see his adorable curls and sweet face.
I shook his hand to wake him as I called his name, “Toby…Toby wake up.”
He stirred before waking. When he saw me he gleamed and sat straight up, gripping my hand tight.
“Oh my God, you’re up!” He exclaimed and leaned over to kiss my forehead.
“Hi baby.” I smiled and puckered my lips. He kissed them softly.
“It’s been about a week now…” he suddenly said.
“I’ve…I’ve been gone a week?” I tried to lift my head up off my pillow but groaned in pain. The back of my neck was stiff. I noticed there was a bandage wrapped around my head and looked at Toby. He had an expression on his face that scared me. His eyes glazed over with tears and he bit his lip. He took my hand again and kissed it, letting the first tear fall onto my bed.
“I thought I lost you…” he managed to whisper.
“Wha-…what happened?”
“Well…I came home from Jack’s house after a day of filming and noticed that the front door had been kicked in. I ran down the hall and checked every room but nobody was there. Then I saw the garage door open and when I went in I found you on the floor in a puddle of your own blood…” he shuddered and began to choke on his words. He put his head down on my bed and I let go of our hands to put my fingers in his hair.
“You were barely breathing…I called the ambulance…When they got there they asked if I was okay because I was covered in your blood…They put you on a stretcher and told me that you were lucky I got there when I did…You could’ve…I could’ve…I could’ve lost you…” his back started to heave as he cried into my lap.
I shushed him and took his hand again. I pulled him up to look at me. His eyes were red and tears stained his cheeks.
“I love you, and I will never ever leave you.” I kissed him as passionately as I could without lifting my head from the pillow.

The police said they caught the guy who had threatened to kill me if I didn’t do the deed. He was sentenced to 10 years in jail. Thankfully I was let off the hook but I was never really the same again. I got nervous around alleyways and I never took the same route I used to from the bar. I got scared when I heard yelling and I couldn’t go into my garage anymore. Toby helped me with my new fears and understood what I was going through. I truly loved him.
But it wasn’t until later when I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

*NEW* New York Secrets- Part 4

WOOOOO FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“So why don’t you like Kaylea?”
I hesitated, searching for the right answer. “She’s not Tailynn. She’s too…I dunno…fake I guess.”
Ian snorted, “Fake my ass.”
“What do you mean ‘fake my ass’? She just seems too peppy, too plastic. Like a Barbie doll.”
“Well if you got to actually know her, maybe you’d change your mind.” We stopped at the door of our room.
“You’re forgetting an important part of my life; the fact that I can’t like anyone else, especially here.” Ian gave me a confused look. “My girlfriend.” I reminded him.
“Right,” he smiled, “I’m not telling you to ask her out and fall in love, I’m saying just get to know her first before you judge her. You two could be good friends.”
“Yeah, tell her that.” I muttered, “She already acts like she’s my girlfriend; have you seen the way she acts around me?”
“Yes but she can get over you.” Ian used his key to open the door.
“I hope so…”
We sat at the mini table near the giant window next to Ian’s bed and ate breakfast. I took out my phone to check my inbox, but still no reply from Tailynn.
“Common baby…”I mumbled to my phone. I really wanted to talk to her.
“Hey baby, just lettin’ ya know what’s up. We’re just eating some breakfast and gettin ready for practice/set-up. Please text when you get up; love you <3” I sent the message.
I finished my breakfast just as Damien barged into our room again.
“Let’s go guys, it’s time to go to the stadium to practice.” He rushed us out.
Ian and I grabbed our things that we needed and headed out the door. We made our way down the elevator and met up with all the youtubers in the main lobby. Somebody was on the top stair of the dining room space talking to the crowd.
“…And remember to keep it professional. I know most of you are comedians and all but last year things got a bit too hectic and we can’t have that happen again!”
We heard a “WOOOOOO!!!” Come from the opposite end of where we stood and saw two fists up in the air followed by a chanting of “SHANE, SHANE, SHANE, SHANE!”
I rolled my eyes but didn’t think twice of it. I knew Dawson was the one who caused the fight last year and everyone thought it was hilarious, like something pulled from Jackass or whatever. I just hoped he kept it professional this year, and not like some damn joke that he acted like it was.
“What’s wrong with that kid?” Ian asked me.
“No idea.” I replied.
The group started to split so we turned around and walked to the same limo we came in from. I texted Tay to let her know where we were going and if she was okay; I hoped she was.
The drive to the stadium was long and boring. Even though the limo had a ton of pushable buttons, Damien wouldn’t let us mess with them because he said the driver had a bad morning and didn’t want to yell at us. So Ian and I sat in the limo quiet and still. I drifted off to sleep but was woken up by a crutch to the knee.
“GOD DAMMIT!” I screamed and held my knee in pain.
“Wake up! I don’t wanna be in here alone with these guys.” Ian hissed at me.
“Seriously? You’re not alone, you idiot, I’m right here.” I glared at him and looked out the window. The buildings closed around us and we were surrounded by cars.
“Why the hell are we in a limo in the first place?” I asked to whoever could hear me.
“Good question. Wouldn’t it just be easier to take a cab, or something smaller?” Ian chimed in.
I looked out of Ian’s window and saw a group of people walking down the sidewalk. I motioned for Ian to roll it down and shouted out,
“Hey guys!”
The group turned to face me and I saw who they were; Ray Johnson, Nice Peter, Justine and Toby Turner.
“Oh hey!” Justine walked to the window and peered in.
“You think we can walk down with you guys? We’re kinda stuck.” I smiled.
“Of course!” She smiled back and moved away from the door.
Ian and I got out of the limo and walked up to the group headed towards practice.
“So, how excited are you two for this vidcon?” Justine started up a conversation.
“Pretty excited actually! You?” I answered for both of us.
“Definitely excited, this’ll be my first!” She shrugged her shoulders with a sweet smile.
“So you didn’t experience what happened last year?” Peter asked her.
“No, was it that thing with Shane?” she asked.
Ray spoke up, “Yeah, he was at his booth showing his videos and some of his friends told him it’d be funny to prank some people. So they did and they were harmless stunts. Until this man with his daughter came up to them and said that he was a bad influence on her and that he should either make better videos or stop making them altogether. He got angry at that and they had an argument and then something snapped in Shane and they ended up getting into a fist fight or something. I don’t know, I was only there at the beginning before things started getting too ugly.”
Toby laughed out loud which made me smile. It was pretty stupid to say the least.
“I was there last year too but never had any problems with him.” Toby said as he heelied passed us. Ian looked after him in envy; I knew he wanted to have the ability to walk again.
“So how did that happen to you?” Peter asked him, referring to his cast.
“Funny story…” I scratched the back of my head.
“I was hyped up on Red Bull and slammed my entire body into the ground.”
Toby laughed out loud again and yelled, “COOL STORY, BRO!”
We all laughed at the embarrassed Ian.
“Nah, I’m just kidding. That sucks, I hope you get better man.” He patted Ian’s shoulder.
“Thanks.”
We finally arrived in front of the stadium, and as far as I could tell, we were the first ones there.
I texted Tailynn a long text explaining what we were going to do today and who I had met up with; I already missed her a shit load.
We walked inside and I was automatically taken aback by the size of the place. Tables lined up the ulterior and interior of the place. In the back, I saw the giant speakers to the stage. My heart rate pumped up and I started to get both nervous and excited.
I began to walk up to someone who looked like they worked there when my phone started to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at the name. Finally, it was her!
“Hey sweetheart!” I exclaimed happily.
She giggled, “You were annoying this morning. I was sleeping darling, you know we have a large time difference now. But I’m fine nonetheless.”
“Oh, sorry about that.” I blushed, “I’m just having a great time here already!” I paced back towards the entrance and nodded at Ian who was still with the group of youtubers. He nodded back.
“I’m glad to hear that. At least one of us is having fun.” Her voice became soft.
“Oh right; I forgot about last night…is everything okay?”
“I’m not sure; I haven’t really talked to anyone but you since it happened.” I scratched my head and looked down at my shoes, guilty that I couldn’t be there for her. I heard a muffled shout and then Tay’s voice again,
“Speak of the devil… I have to go, my mother is calling me. I’ll call you later to let you know if I’m still alive or not.” She stifled a laugh.
“Alright. Well, I hope you remain alive; I love you very much.” I sighed, wishing I could hug her and make everything better.
“I love you very much too. See ya.”
“See ya.” I hung up and looked back up to see Ian hobbling over to me.
“Was that Tay?” he asked.
“Yeah.” My voice quivered. I gulped down the lump in my throat.
“Is she doin’ okay?”
“I think so. She can handle whatever is happening, she’s strong.” I smiled, reassuring myself.
“Yeah she is. She’ll be fine dude.” He gave me a comforting smile and patted my back.
She was gonna be okay; she could live without me…couldn’t she?

New York Secrets- Part 3

I stood up and threw an annoyed look at Ian who was lying on his back staring at the ceiling. I walked to the door and opened it just as the person was about to knock again. It was a hotel bagboy, barely 18, he looked bored as he said in monotone, “Here are your bags sir, have a nice evening.” With that said, he turned and walked back down the hallway to the elevators.
I rolled my eyes and picked up Ian and my bags. I hurled them into our room.
“Oh finally!” Ian exclaimed. He sat up and hopped over to his bag. He frantically unzipped it and pulled out a thin plastic stick. He hopped back over to his bed before shoving the stick down his cast.
“Oh man, that feels so much better.” He said as he itched his leg.
“Nice…” I muttered and jumped onto my bed, “I’m going to bed now, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.”
“Right.” Ian managed to reply after his itching orgasm.
He threw the stick towards the general direction of our luggage; it bounced off the wall and landed near the door. I shook my head before covering it with the hotel bed sheets. I fell asleep as soon as Ian turned off the lamp on our nightstand.

I woke up to the sound of Ian calling my name.
“Anthony! Anthony, there’s someone at the door, you should go get it!” I rolled over to look at his stupid face.
“Are you fucking kidding me?!” I practically screamed, “Go get the door yourself, dumbass!!!”
For some reason Ian looked apauled.
“Ian, you wake me up in the middle of the night to tell me to answer the door when clearly you can do it by yourself.” I tried to explain.
Someone knocked on the door loudly.
“Just ask who it is.” I groaned.
“Oooo good idea!” Ian said. “Who is it?” he called out.
“It’s Damien; I’ve got info on vidcon for you guys; the schedule and whatnot.” Damien’s rich deep voice slid through the door.
“Go. Get. It.” I growled at Ian who finally obeyed.
“Fine…Jesus…” I heard him mumble as I rolled back over.
I heard the door click and open. Damien’s big footsteps thumped into our room. I heard a crack and Ian whine, “Awww man!!! That was my itching stick!”
I chuckled, “That’s what you get for leaving your shit everywhere.”
Damien’s footsteps continued further into my room until they stopped. I looked up and jumped; he was standing over my bed holding a folded piece of paper in his large hand.
“Here.” He threw it at me. It landed on my face. I slowly took it off and tried to read it.
“Breakfast- 5:30 – 6:45
Set Up- 7:00 – 9:30
Break- 9:30 – 10:00
Continue Set Up- 10:00 – 1:30
Lunch- 1:30” Was all I could make out for now.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:25 AM. This already sucked.
“Well, we should probably go if we wanna get some breakfast!” I heard Ian’s stomach growl.
“How can you be hungry already?” My voice was groggy from sleep.
“I don’t know; I’m a man, deal with it.” His stupid comment was too stupid for me to reply to. Instead, I motioned him towards me. Ian leaned over and I slapped him.
“You’re an idiot.” I said as he rubbed his cheek. He didn’t say anything, however, because he knew I acted this way in the morning, especially when it was early and I had only gotten 4 hours of sleep.
I sat up and grabbed my phone. I had to text Tay.
“Just woke up; wanted to see how you were. Love you.” I left it simple. She could’ve still been sleeping but I wasn’t sure.
I got out of bed and rubbed my eyes; I hated getting up this early. I sat on my bed for a couple of seconds, trying to get used to being awake; it was hard to keep my eyes open, especially in the dim lighting of our hotel room. Finally I got the energy to hoist myself off the bed and into the bathroom. I turned on the light and looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess and my eyes were baggy, my upper lip had grown itself a little pedo ‘stache; I truly looked like a child rapist. The real problem was I didn’t really give a shit. But whether I liked it or not, I had to look presentable today so I combed out my hair and quickly shaved the pedo ‘stache before changing into a Smosh shirt and skinny jeans. After I was finished I looked in the mirror again; much better. I walked back into the main room and saw that Ian had left me for breakfast.
“Asshole…” I mumbled before grabbing the spare hotel key and my cell phone.
I looked at my inbox but to no avail; Tailynn hadn’t replied. I really wanted to talk to her so I decided it wouldn’t hurt to shoot her another text,
“hey Taybe, just wanted to see if you were awake yet, text me when you do. Love you.” I pushed send but my damn phone glitched up.
“Fuck…” I cursed as I tried to figure out if it had sent or not. I really had no idea so I just typed it up again and sent it.
“Stupid phone…” I grumbled before making my way to the hallway and down to the lobby where they were serving breakfast.
The lobby was crowded with YouTube celebrities. I spotted Kevin Jumba by the toast table with Ryan Higa close by. I also saw Ray Johnson by the bagles and iJustine talking to KassemG at the juice table. Finally Ian, with his giant cast and annoying crutches, caught my eye; he was talking to someone at the beginning of the buffet line; a girl. I sorta recognized her from the back but I wasn’t exactly sure who it was. There weren’t many women YouTubers at the convention except for some vloggers, music artists and make-up gurus…make-up gurus….oh shit.
Kaylea turned away from Ian and waved at me with a huge grin on her face. I gave a small wave and a half smile. I had to be nice even if I didn’t want to. I took a deep breath before walking over to them.
“Hey Anthony!” Kaylea’s shrill voice punched me in the face. I couldn’t stand happy people in the early morning.
“Uhm, hey Kaylea.” I tried to indicate that I didn’t want to talk.
“I’m so excited for this convention thingy, aren’t you?” she said before grabbing some fruit.
“Yep.” I yawned, trying to give her the idea.
“Ian and I were just about to tell each other what we were gonna do at our booths.”
“Oh really?” I got interested, “Ian, what were you gonna say?”
“That we’d probably just hand out and talk to people; have a playlist of our videos on screen and just answer some questions. Simple stuff like that.” Ian balanced his plate of fruit and a mini cereal box on his knee to adjust the crutches under his arm.
“Right. Well I hope that’s good enough. Plus our on-stage presentation slash skit.” I mentioned.
“Yeah that too,” Ian smiled, “We’re doing a skit of Benny Jean and Cletus then an exclusive Boxman rap.” Ian grabbed some fresh bacon from the buffet line and happily stuffed it into his mouth.
“Oh yeah! I heard that some YouTubers were doing shows onstage.” Kaylea poured herself a glass of ice water.
“Yep.” I repeated the simple word to her.
Ian spoke up, “Totally; Ryan and Kevin are doing Best Crew stuff, Freddie Wong has a little skit thingy, Ray is doing some viral video stand-up comedy, Machinema is sharing some live footage from E3, they’ve got a couple of music performers and at the end they’re gonna line up all the YouTubers and have a question and answer session. It’s gonna be freaking awesome.”
“Yeah, no kiddin’.” I smiled, feeling the excitement rush through my body. Then I remembered I had left Tailynn for all of this and my stomach sank. I missed her so much, and talking to Kaylea didn’t make it any better. I accidentally let out a sigh but walked away to the toast before anyone could ask me why. Kevin was still at the table; he looked frustrated.
“Hey man.” I started up a conversation.
“Oh hey.” He said, still staring at the toaster.
“What’s up?” I grabbed two pieces of white bread.
“You probably don’t want toast since the damn toaster isn’t working.” He noticed my gesture.
“Oh.” I replied but kept the bread on my paper plate. I took some strawberry jam and spread it on both slices. I didn’t really care that the toaster wasn’t working; I just wanted food.
“So, you likin’ New York so far?” I asked him.
“Yeah, Ryan, our friend Chester and I went sight seeing last night, we really didn’t get any sleep but we’re used to that now. We’re like vampires, never sleep—no need to.” He laughed and I joined in sympathy. Ryan walked up to us from the drink table and greeted me.
“Hey Anthony!” He high fived me.
“Nice to see you man!” I grinned, “we’ll have to collab again dude; you, Ian, Kevin and I.” I left out their friend since I didn’t know him too well.
“That’d be great! Plus I’ve had a script written out for a while so we could work around that.” Ryan said.
“Nice.” I nodded.
“Well we gotta eat fast,” Ryan motioned to Kev, “we have to get Chester and practice our Best Crew stuff.”
“Alright; I’ll catch you guys later then!” I high fived both them before they took off towards the elevators.
I took a bite out of my strawberry covered bread and jumped when someone touched my shoulder.
“Woah; take it easy there.” Ian backed up.
“Sorry,” I said, swallowing the bread, “I thought you were someone else…” I looked over his shoulder; no sign of Kaylea. “Common, we should get back to our room and get ready to set up.” I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him towards the elevators.
Ian attempted to eat while walking but he failed miserably. A couple of grapes rolled off his plate and his cereal spilled over. I sighed, knowing I had to be the one to clean it up.
“Thanks man.” Ian said and I grumbled an insincere, “you’re welcome.”
We jumped into the empty elevator but didn’t say a word ‘til we got to our floor. With the sound of Ian’s crutches clicking as he hopped he asked me…

New York Secrets- Part 2

We got off the plane and into the New York City airport very slowly; slower than usual because of Ian’s temporary disability. We attracted more attention than we wanted. People gave us looks similar to the look Kaylea gave me when she said we looked familiar. Ian took out his special sunglasses to disguise his famous blue eyes and I took out a new beanie from my suitcase to disguise my recognizable hair. That took away some attention but it was still awkward.
I looked at Ian and laughed; he looked like a blind disabled person. At least he was completely hidden from the rest of the crowd, as I was not. I decided not to worry about it as much as I was. At least Tailynn wasn’t here so I wouldn’t get shit for having a girlfriend; God forbid I even have one. Girls were very mean to her and I didn’t see exactly why. Tailynn is beautiful, smart, talented, creative, expressive, just perfect and she made me the happiest person alive. Selfish jealous girls just couldn’t see passed their own egos to be happy for me. It really pissed me off.
“Hey, look at that!” Ian’s voice interrupted my thoughts and I looked over to see him pointing to a group of people. One person held up a huge sign that said “YouTube Vidcon!” We headed towards their direction. When we got closer we saw that the group of people was actually a line of individual people holding signs with specific names on them. I recognized a lot of names; Chester See, Ryan Higa, Kevin Jumba, Shane Dawson, Fred, and…Kaylea Swan. I ran passed her sign as fast as I could to avoid coming in any type of contact with her. Ian did his best to keep up with me, and he did well for a guy who’d been on crutches for barely a week. We slowed down when we saw a bulky black guy in a grey suit with a purple tie holding a sign that said “SMOSH” in big letters at the top and “Anthony Padilla & Ian Hecox” on the bottom in smaller letters.
“This is us!” I smiled at the man to let him know we were Smosh. Ian hobbled over next to me.
“Hello person.” Ian greeted him.
“The name is Damien.” The guy said in a rich deep voice. His lips were in a straight line and he didn’t look at either of us.
“You seem like a swell guy.” Ian smirked. I laughed until Damien shot me a look that stabbed my eyes. I looked away almost fearing for my life before getting the courage to ask him what we were going to do now that we were here.
“We’re gonna go down to the hotel you’re staying at.” He eyed Ian, “judging from your state of health, we’re gonna have to move more slowly than the others.” His voice was deeper than deep. He really scared me especially since he was like, seven feet tall!
“Hey dude, I can do things on my own perfectly well. And speedy fast. Like a ninja!” Ian threw down his crutches and balanced on one foot; his hands were flat and he posed like he was gonna karate chop Damien in the throat. At least he wasn’t scared of him.
Ian’s stance caused Damien to…smile. Smile? I didn’t even know smiling was in his vocabulary let alone him knowing how to do it!
“Oh you guys are so funny!” his sudden change of emotion made me kinda happy. Damien actually thought we were cool!
“So, you’re a fan of Smosh?” I asked quietly as Ian picked up his crutches.
“Of course Anthony!” he looked at me, his eyes were kinder than the last time he looked at me, “That’s why I asked to hold up Smosh’s sign! Also, I thought it’d be really funny if I acted like a tough body guard. You should’ve seen your face, you were scared as hell!” he erupted into a fit of laughter. I smiled at him but gave Ian a look that said “this guy is crazy”. He nodded in return, as if he knew exactly what I was thinking.
After Damien was finished laughing his ass off, he wiped away some tears and took a deep breath before taking Ian’s suitcase that I had set down. He offered to take my suitcase which was still in my hand but I solemnly refused; I had enough of this guy for today.
I gave him a polite smile to let him know I could handle it myself and he accepted it. Damien led us out of the newly packed airport and outside to a line of cars. We walked around the line and followed Damien to a black limo. A fricken black limo!!!
“Really?” I thought out loud.
Ian woo-ed and attempted to open the door. “Damn these stupid crutches!” he cursed. I took charge and opened the back door for him.
“Thanks Anthony.” He said as he hopped into the limo, broken leg first.
I gave Damien my suitcase to put in the trunk and jumped in after Ian. The limo was bigger inside than it looked. I gawked around the limo, admiring the smooth leather seats and examining the various buttons on the other side of the door. This was just too cool.
“This is just too cool!” Ian exclaimed. I laughed; we always thought the same things, people swore we could’ve been long lost brothers.
We took off as soon as Damien got into the front seat. When I looked out the window, I saw Ryan Higa getting into another limo with Kevin Jumba. Those two were cool guys, I was glad they were gonna be at Vidcon; I was relieved I’d know at least two more people there.
The limo took off onto the highway; Ian and I barely talked, we stared outside the tinted windows the entire time to see New York City’s buildings slowly pass by. When we finally arrived at the rim of the city my stomach flipped; I really wished Tailynn was here with me. It would’ve been amazing to share this experience with her. Instead, I was stuck with this broken goofball; not that I didn’t like Ian’s presence but truthfully I’d rather have my fully functional girlfriend. And I’m sure Ian would rather have his too. Even so, I tried my best to have a good time and call Tay whenever I had the chance to.
The limo driver took some turns here and there and a lot of stops were taken too. I almost got fed up that we were taking so long to get to the hotel but the last stop we took, the door opened. Damien held it open and Ian and I got out to see a gigantic 5 star hotel awaiting us.
“Whoa-ly shit.” I uttered.
“Whoa-ly shit is right.” Ian’s voice creeped up behind me.
A hotel concierge opened the door for both of us and we walked into the hotel. This place was freaking AMAZING. The ceiling was at least 15 feet tall, it looked endless, and the staircase that led up to the rooms was crazy big. The hotel walls were painted a dark yellow, and the dimmed lights around the lobby made it look gold. The concierge desk was just filling up with people from Vidcon, luckily Damien had set our things on a cart and was getting our room as we oo-ed and awe-ed at the elegant things around us that we never got to see in Sacramento.
It took Damien faster than expected to get us our room keys. When he approached us he had to snap us out of our trance.
“Hey guys, I got you your room keys. I gotta go get your booth ready at the Vidcon Fest so I’ll see you two later.” Damien gave us both high fives; he almost knocked Ian over with his giant meaty hand. I chuckled as Ian and I made our way to the now crowded elevator. Our luggage had to take a different route but I trusted the hotel workers to get it all figured out.
I was getting very tired so I decided as soon as we got into the room I was gonna call Tay then totally pass out. This hotel had about 10 floors and we were on the fifth. We stopped on every floor but it was still crowded by the time we got to ours.
When we finally got off on our floor we strolled down the hallway until we saw our room number, “514”. I used the key and opened the door; I was just about to rush into the room when two soft voices said my name.
“Anthony? Ian?” I looked to my right and saw two girls standing next to me holding pieces of paper to their chests.
“Yes?” I smiled at them.
“I-my-hi-I’m uh…” one of the girls stammered. I held in a laugh.
“I’m Sammi, this is my best friend Shari we’re HEEEUGE Smoshers I can’t believe you’re really Anthony Padilla!”
“I’m Ian Hecox!” Ian chipped into the excitement.
“Ian!” the girl whom I presumed was Shari spoke. I looked at Ian who was beaming from ear-to-ear at the attention he was getting. “What happened to you?” she continued.
“I was being a freaking ninja but my abilities failed on me and I broke my knee. No need to worry about me though, I’ll be better soon.” He smiled at the girls again.
“Can we sign your cast?” Sammi asked him.
“Oh, sure!” Ian held up his leg and the girls took turns writing something on his leg with their sharpie. “Thanks!” he said after they finished.
“Now can you guys sign these?” Shari handed me a picture of Ian and I from Food Battle 2010.
“Yeah.” I said and took the pen she was motioning to me with. I signed my name and gave the pen to Ian to sign his. We switched papers and signed again. When we were finished, I decided to do the polite thing and offer a hug.
Sammi squeeled and jumped into my arms, squeezing me tightly. I coughed but stayed friendly and nice after she let go. Sammi moved on to Ian and I heard his breath let out. I laughed and hugged Shari. Her touch was softer, perhaps too soft. I supposed she was just nervous concidering how she couldn’t speak to me two minutes ago. She moved to Ian and then they separated from us, waving goodbye.
“That felt cool.” I said as we finally got into our room and shut the door.
“Yeah, I’m fucking tired though.” Ian jumped onto the bed closest to the window.
“Screw you man I get the window bed!” I whipped off my beanie and threw it at his face.
“I’m the injured man so I get first pick!” Ian picked up one of his crutches and hurled it at me.
I jumped out of the way and it hit the door. “DUDE!” I yelled at him. He laughed as I picked it up and threw it back at him. He blocked it with his cast,
“Wawwwww!!!” He impersonated Bruce Lee.
“FINE.” I surrendered to his ninja-ness and took the bed next to the closet.
As soon as my head hit the fluffy hotel pillow, I took out my phone and speed dialed Tailynn. She answered on the second ring,
“Hey baby.” I loved hearing her voice but I recognized her tone. Something was wrong.
“Hey Tay, you sound…upset.” I tried to find the right words without making her madder than she must’ve been.
“I just…um…slapped a bitch and made her bleed.” I laughed at her random explanation. She began to explain what happened in detail but that just made me laugh more.
“Wow, I don’t know whether to be proud or scared.” I said after she was finished.
“You should be both. You should know by now if someone pisses me off, I’ll beat their ass!” She laughed; my heart raced. I loved her sweet laugh.
“Well, I’ll make sure to never make you angry,” I tried to reassure her that I’d never hurt her, “I don’t want my ass to be beat, especially from my beautiful girlfriend. You know how much I love you.” I turned the conversation around to make it about us. I loved her so much.
“I love you too.” Her tone was soft.
“I already miss you so much. I thought I could do this but knowing how far away you are, it…it hurts.” I held back tears. I didn’t want her or Ian to hear me cry.
“I miss you too…”
“Well…” I proceeded on telling her everything that happened after we separated at the airport.
“That’s awesome!” she replied to my comment about what happened with Sammi and Shari. “Listen, I just wanted you to know that we’re gonna be okay without each other for two weeks. This could be beneficial to our relationship, missing each other could make us stronger.” She was so good at making me feel better.
Suddenly, someone knocked on our hotel door. I looked at Ian and motioned him to get it but he ignored me. I clenched my fist, he was gonna make me say goodbye to Tailynn and answer the door myself.
“You’re right; missing you could be very beneficial. We could be a lot closer. I love you baby,” the person knocked again, this time harder, “I have to go now but I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Alrighty. I love you too. Goodnight.”
I sighed, realizing I had to say goodbye yet again, “Goodnight.”

New York Secrets- Part 1

Well, not EXACTLY a new story but it's what happens to Anthony and Ian in New York. This starts at the end of Part 12 of Live, Laugh, Learn, Love when Tailynn and Anthony say goodbye in the airport. Enjoy! :D

“Flight 33 now boarding.” Mine and Ian’s flight was called.
I looked up before muttering, “Oh well, that’s us.”
Tailynn hugged me again and separated from me; her soft warm hands cupped around my cheeks as she said, “Call me every day.” She kissed me before I said,
“Don’t worry, I will.” We kissed again until we heard Flight 50 being called.
“Guess I have to go before they leave without me.” She gave a nervous laugh.
“Okay; us too.” I smiled at her before she turned around and walked towards her gateway. I watched her with longing eyes; I already wanted her back in my arms. I was snapped out of her hypnotic movement when someone knocked me upside the head.
“What the fuck Ian?!” I yelled at him and turned around.
“Dude, we have to go, they’re gonna leave without us.” Ian hobbled over to the New York boarding gate and I had no choice but to follow.
I drug my feet across the ugly blue carpet, not wanting to leave California without my girl. Ian made an attempt to turn around to say, “Common Anthony, I know you want to be with her again but you have to trust me when I say you can live without her for two weeks. Besides, it’s not like you’ll never talk to her while you’re away; call her everyday.” His reassuring words caused me to grin and pick up my feet.
“Thanks man.” I said as I passed by him to enter the gate to New York.
We got onto the plane in an awkward manner; Ian couldn’t exactly fit into the narrow aisles with his giant crutches, so I had to hold them while he maneuvered around the plane by grabbing onto the seats and hopping down to where our seats were. I’m not gonna lie; I kind of felt like an idiot. But when we finally found our seats, which were near the back (thankfully on the opposite side of the bathroom), I felt comfortable and ready to take on New York.
“Let’s do this!” I quietly exclaimed to whoever could hear.
After all protocol was finished, we fastened our seatbelts and were ready to take off.
Ian cupped his hand over his mouth and made a radio noise, “Chhhhk, we’re here on Flight 33 ready to lift off. Everything seems in place, seat belts are on, cell phones are off, Anthony is ready to scream and cry—”
“Shut up Ian, that was one time! And I was seven!!!” But my defensive comment didn’t bring him out of character,
“Chhhhk, shut up Anthony; no one asked you. Anyway, we’re in lift off in five…four…three…two…one!” the airplane started to move on cue.
“Hell yeah!” Ian exclaimed a little too loud. He did have some reason to be excited; every time we were on a plane and he tried counting down, he was always seconds off. This was just one of Ian’s dozens of weird quirks.
After a while of being in the air, our seatbelts safe to come off, Ian had already fallen asleep on my shoulder, which was pretty damn weird. I debated on waking him up or not but after all he’d been through in the last week, I might as well be a good friend and let him sleep. On that note, I ended up drifting off to sleep as well and when I woke up an hour and a half later, I found that my head was resting on the top of Ian’s. That startled me which woke him up. He jumped up after he realized he was on my shoulder.
“Dude!!!” his bowl haircut was sticking out in different directions, “Why didn’t you wake me? We were having a gay fest on your shoulder; what, you didn’t mind?”
I laughed, “Yes, I did mind but I was actually being nice to you believe it or not. I didn’t want to wake you because you needed sleep!”
“I’m sorry guys,” a young woman turned around in front of us, “but can you two please keep it down? My brother is trying to sleep.”
“Oh yeah, sorry.” I smiled at her and elbowed Ian in the stomach. He grunted but didn’t say a word.
“Thank you.” She showed me a stunning smile and turned back around. She didn’t remain there for long though, “Hey, you look really familiar; do I know you?”
“You might. I’m Anthony Padilla. I’m from a YouTube channel called—”
“Smosh!” she interrupted me, “I know you looked familiar!” her fan-attitude made me perk up and smile, it’d been a while since I’d met a star struck girl.
“I’m Kaylea.” She held out her hand. It was soft when I shook it; it reminded me of Tailynn. I reassured myself that Kaylea was just a pretty girl on a plane, and Tailynn was my beautiful, charming, amazing girlfriend; my girlfriend whom had once hated my guts. I quickly swiped away those first moments we met from my mind and focused on what we’d recently became and would become in the future.
As the flight progressed, so did my conversation with Kaylea. I learned that she was on this flight back home from Los Angeles with her younger brother.
“Oh cool, that’s where my girlfriend lives.” I mentioned Tailynn.
“Girlfriend? I didn’t know you had a girlfriend…” Kaylea became curious.
“Yeah, her name is Tailynn Richards, you might’ve read a book or two from her.” I always made sure to promote my baby girl.
“Nope, can’t say that I have.” Kaylea’s body had shifted slightly back to the front of her seat. I could tell the mere mention of my love life bothered her; so I changed the subject.
“Ian and I are flying to New York for YouTube Vidcon—you heard of it?”
“Heard of it? I go every year! I kind of have to since…well, I’m part of the festival myself!” she smiled with pride.
“Really? What do you do?” I leaned towards her.
“I’m a make-up guru. Believe it or not, but my entire face right now is covered in it. This perfect skin here?” she pointed to her cheeks, “total 100% concealer. You thought it was real huh?” I slowly nodded. Tailynn never wore concealer so I wasn’t exactly sure how it was suppose to look.
“Wow, that’s….interesting.” I tried not to sound slightly disgusted, “so do you have a lot of subscribers then?”
“Yeah, a couple hundred thousand; YouTube Vidcon asked me to bring some make-up stuff to show how I do the videos. So yeah!” she grinned widely.
“Yeah…well, I think a girl can be gorgeous just the way she is. Make-up isn’t what makes a person beautiful.” I tried voicing my opinion as gently as possible.
“Sometimes women need help enhancing her features. You should suggest that to Taylor.” I barely heard her mumble.
“Tailynn? She’s beautiful even when she wakes up in the morning.” I smiled just thinking of her glowing face.
The rest of the flight was quiet. Not even Ian spoke after he heard our discussion. When we finally landed, Kaylea turned back to face me.
“If you wanna talk again, here.” She handed me a piece of crumpled paper. I opened it up to reveal a phone number.
“Better throw that away man, before Tay finds out. Kaylea’s hot but truthfully, Tailynn is hotter.” Ian snuck up behind me and saw her number.
“Yeah, I know.” I said as we filed out of the plane. A trashcan waited near the exit of the plane. I casually threw away the paper and waved goodbye to the airline waitress’. This Kaylea girl was an interesting person; but I didn’t want anyone to get in the way of my feelings for Tailynn. Hopefully, I wouldn’t see her at YouTube Vidcon. I just couldn’t afford it.

*NEW* Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 17

The next morning was very slow. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed; literally. I was so used to my queen sized bed in California that I had shimmied half of my body off the bed. My legs dangled off the right side of the bed but I really didn’t bother to move them back under the pink fluffy covers. I was still hung up about last night. My hand still throbbed; I realized it wasn’t under the towel I had covered it with before I went to sleep. That caused me to sit up and search for it. I found it near the end of the small bed and wrapped it back around my hand. I saw no reason to get back to sleep, since the sun was shining through the window. I figured it must’ve been late in the afternoon, so I was surprised when I saw that it was only 8:30!
I groaned as I stood up and noticed I had 16 new messages on my phone.
“Dammit…” I cursed whoever spammed my inbox. I opened up the messages and saw that 98% of them were from Anthony. The first one said, “Just woke up; wanted to see how you were. Love you” the second one was similar, “hey Taybe, just wanted to see if you were awake yet, text me when you do. Love you” the third was the same text. The fourth stated that they were getting ready to go to practice and set-up. The fifth asked how I was and if I was awake. The rest of the texts were him telling me what him and Ian were doing. The only other messages I had that weren’t from Anthony were from Nicolette and an unknown number. I read the one from Nico first; she said, “Hey girly, how was your flight? I’m doing well, just landed and I’m feeling good about this week. Text me soon ” I replied with a simple honest answer and moved on to the unknown number. It read, “FUCK YOU.” I supposed it must’ve been from either Hannah or Darcy; so I ignored it and proceeded to call Anthony.
He answered on the second ring, “Hey sweetheart!!!”
“You were annoying this morning, I was sleeping darling, you know we have a large time difference now. But I’m fine nonetheless.”
“Oh, sorry about that,” I heard him blush, “I’m just having a great time here already!”
I smiled, “I’m really glad to hear that. At least one of us is having fun.” I twisted the towel around my hand again.
“Oh right; I forgot about last night…is everything okay?”
“I’m not sure; I haven’t really talked to anyone but you since it happened.” Just as I said that, I heard my name being called from outside my room. It sounded like my mom.
“Speak of the devil…”I moaned, “I have to go, my mother is calling me. I’ll call you later to let you know if I’m still alive or not.” I hiccupped a laugh.
“Alright. Well, I hope you remain alive; I love you very much.” His voice made me smile.
“I love you very much too. See ya.” I hung up after his goodbye and heard my name again.
“HANG ON A MINUTE!!!!” I screamed back. I walked to my conjoined bathroom to grab my fuzzy robe; it was a bit chilly, I’d forgotten how cold Colorado was compared to California.
I moved my vanity away from my door and swung it open in annoyance to hearing my name called yet again. “WHAT DO YOU WANT?!” I realized my anger had come back from the last time I was here three years ago. I couldn’t believe we were back on that scale; but I had an argument already planned out. It wasn’t my god damn fault; it was my mom’s for inviting those two skanks.
“Get down here now! We have to talk!!!”
I groaned and grumbled as I made my way out of my room and down the stairs. I turned the corner to be faced with my mother.
“Hello.” I said calmly. Obviously it was the wrong greeting.
“Hello? HELLO?! That’s all you have to say after what you did last night?” my mom shouted at me. I stared at her with sleep filled eyes.
“Yes. I don’t regret what I did; she deserved it.” I tried to walk passed her but she blocked my way. “Excuse me.” I politely said.
“Taliynn! Nobody deserves what happened to her!” she yelled.
I snorted, “Oh yeah, that lying bitch didn’t deserve a smack across the damn face from me? Yeah that makes a ton of sense.”
“Don’t you curse inside my house!” was all she said before we were interrupted,
“Mom, Tailynn?” I heard my brother’s voice from the top of the stairs. He turned both of our attentions to him.
“Yes sweetie?” my mom forced a kind tone.
“You guys are fighting already?” Brock groaned as he trotted down the stairs.
“I’m sorry buddy,” I got the chance to speak first, “But mom is taking something wayyyy out of proportion and she just can’t see it.” I shagged his curly hair as soon as he stood next to me.
“I’m NOT taking this out of proportion!” my mother fought back.
Brock touched my toweled hand, “What’s this?” he asked.
“I bruised my hand yesterday. It’s still swollen.” I unwrapped the towel to show a now purplish hand; I could see blue veins popping out.
“Oh Tailynn are you okay?” my mom’s motherly tone snapped out at me as she grabbed my right hand, “Let me get some ice for that!” she rushed to the kitchen.
“I bitch slapped a girl last night because she made up a mean story about me.” I informed Brock as I heard ice crunching in the kitchen. He giggled and walked down the hall to make breakfast.
My mom hustled back to me and laid the ice in my palm. It felt amazing.
“I’m sorry I snapped at you.” She said, her eyes still focused on the bag of ice cradling my hand. “I know what she said wasn’t true but violence is never the answer.”
I was about to come back with a retort for that stupid comment but my instincts told me not to. I didn’t want to fight anymore, not when I could spend my time here more wisely; just as long as I didn’t get to run into any more nightmares from my past.
The rest of the morning was a lot better than I’d thought; it felt as if I was a little kid again, enjoying my breakfast on a Saturday morning. Alexis eventually slumped in and had her breakfast.
As for the afternoon, I decided to take my dad’s truck out and see my hometown in daylight. Alexis joined me yet again but I didn’t mind; I liked having her as company. The only thing I was afraid of was her bringing up “Antonio” again. I didn’t want to talk about Anthony especially if I was lying to my sister about him. But low and behold, the very first topic she wanted to talk about was my boyfriend…

Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 16

We spent another hour hanging out with Rachel, Grey, and the rest of their gang, listening to poetry from various people. Suddenly, I got the urge to check my phone for the time. It read 11:00 exact. Cursing out loud, I grabbed Alexis’ hand and pulled her up.
“We gotta go now, it was nice hanging out with you guys, maybe we’ll meet again someday.” I smiled at the group before dragging my sister out the door.
Right as we turned to walk down the street, we ran into a group of girls. It was my mom and her friends.
“Where are Hannah and Darcy?” my mom asked me.
“Psh, I don’t care.” I shrugged off their existence from my mind.
“Well you should, we’re leaving now we gotta find them to go.”
“Oh we’re leaving already?” I darted a glance at Alexis who smirked at me, knowing I had dodged a terrible night with the people I hated the most; Hannah and Darcy.
“Yes, now I got their numbers from when I asked them to come with us; if you wouldn’t mind calling them to ask-”
“Yes I do mind! Now let’s just go, they probably ditched us anyway!” I took Alexis’ hand again and stormed down the sidewalk towards the direction of the parking garage we had parked in. I didn’t bother to look back to see if they were following us; I knew my mom wouldn’t just leave me alone with no way to get home.
We got to the garage in a huff; as I inched closer to where I memorized the van was, I heard familiar bitch-toned voices. “Seriously?” I muttered under my breath.
Hannah and Darcy loitered behind my friends van, talking up a storm; both of their arms were crossed, their attention tightly focused on each other. The funniest thing I noticed was that their legs were covered in dark brown stains.
“What the fuck happened to you guys? Did you accidentally shit on each other?!” I burst out in laughter just hearing myself say the clever remark. Alexis joined in with laughter.
“SHUT UP!!!!” Both of them shouted; their voices echoed throughout the empty garage.
I heard my mom gasp behind me, “what happened to you girls?”
“We were walking down the street back from the Late Night Café and…and…Tailynn became hostile and pushed us down into a giant puddle!!!” Darcy blubbered.
“WHAT?!” I screamed and bounded towards them. I lifted my arm and slapped Darcy as hard as I could across the cheek. The smack itself rang through the parking garage and her instant wails were even louder.
I let out a breath of accomplishment. I felt a lot better about tonight. The only thing that bothered me now was the pain in my hand. It stung really bad, and when I examined it I saw traces of blood across my palm. When I looked at Darcy I saw a slash across her cheek bone. My ring I was wearing had cut her. I didn’t know whether to feel happier or a little guilty. I was about to apologize when Hannah yelled at me,
“You stupid bitch! I can’t believe you hit her like that!”
I raised my hand threatening to hit her as well; she flinched. Surprisingly, my mother hadn’t said a word. I looked behind me and saw her standing in the middle of the parking lot, mouth slightly opened in surprise.
“Let’s go…” I muttered and opened the door to the van. I jumped in and pulled the door shut after Alexis. We waited a couple of minutes before the door opened again and everyone else piled in. I caught a glimpse of Darcy. She had a butterfly bandaid on the cut; an item Carol must’ve had in her purse. We drove back home in complete and utter silence. So quiet, I was afraid to breathe.
We got to our house faster than we had gotten to downtown Denver. When the van got into the parking lot I jumped out before the engine had even been turned off, which was a rule Alexis, Brock and I always had to follow. I ran into the house and bounded up the stairs to my small room. I slammed the door shut and moved my vanity as a temporary lock. Something I was very skilled at doing, being that when I was a young teenager, I would always get into fights with my parents.
I jumped onto my bed and examined my hand again. It was puffed up a bit, and hurt when I poked it. I walked into the conjoined bathroom and washed the blood from my hand. I wrapped it up in a small towel and rushed back into my room, locking the bathroom behind me to make sure nobody entered through that way.
I took out all the bows from my hair, kicked off my shoes, and changed into my PJ’s before tucking myself into bed. The only light that prevented me from peacefully sleeping was my lamp on my nightstand. I was about to turn it off and go to sleep when my phone rang. I knew exactly who it was from the ringtone.
“Hey baby.” I answered in relief.
“Hey Tay, you sound…upset.” Anthony’s sweet voice slowed down my racing heart beat and made me smile.
“I just…um…slapped a bitch and made her bleed.” My non explanatory comment made him laugh. “My mom invited my two high school ex-best friends to a night downtown and when we were about to leave, one of them made up a story that I pushed her down into a puddle sooo…I got really angry and slapped her so hard my ring cut her face and made her bleed.” I let it all out in one breath and smiled again, happy to get it out to my real best friend.
“Wow, I don’t know whether to be proud or scared.” He laughed.
“You should be both.” I giggled, “You should know by now if someone pisses me off, I’ll beat their ass!” I sat up in bed and readjusted the phone to my ear.
“Well I’ll make sure to never make you angry. I don’t want my ass to be beat, especially from my beautiful girlfriend. You know how much I love you.” His tone suddenly got soft.
“I love you too.” I matched it.
“I already miss you so much. I thought I could do this but knowing how far away you are, it…it hurts.” He was almost whispering.
“I miss you too…” was all I could think of saying. A tear slipped passed my cheek and splattered on the towel my stinging hand was wrapped in.
“Well…” he said after a couple of seconds “I just wanted to call to see how you were. We made it here safely, no troubles at the airport or on the plane or anything. We got to the hotel alright, Ian had some people escort him to the hotel because he couldn’t exactly carry his bags and I had my hands full. The hotel concierge also helped him, it was pretty cool, we looked like real celebrities; especially when some people in our room hallway recognized us and asked for autographs.”
“That’s awesome!” I encouraged him in a way to let him know he’d be okay without me after all. In fact, this could actually be beneficial to our relationship. We needed to miss each other to make us stronger. I told him the words I had planned in my head and he agreed.
“You’re right; missing you could be very beneficial. We could be a lot closer. I love you baby, I have to go now but I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Alrighty. I love you too, goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
We gave each other kissing noises before hanging up. He always made me smile no matter what. I just hoped now things here would get better. I didn’t want to start things out in a bad manner. I needed to apologize to my mom and sister. “But not now”, I told myself, “in the morning”. And with that last thought, I turned off my lamp and fell asleep.

Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 15

We walked down the nearest sidewalk in sporadic groups; Lexi and I were at the head of the gang, my mom and her two friends followed close behind and the two bitches trailed behind them. I could only wonder why they even agreed to my mom’s request to join us.
The lights of the city hit us as soon as we turned the corner from the parking garage. I stopped in mid-walk, jerking Alexis’ arm so she would stop with me. Nancy bumped into me but laughed it off. My home-sweet-home moment was interrupted by an annoying ass voice,
“Why did we stop?! Let’s gooooo I wanna see the damn city now move it!”
I whipped around to face Darcy, “Shut the hell up or I will leave your ass here and you’ll have to walk back home!”
That silenced her trap enough to make me start walking again, this time with a small skip in my step, happy that I had stood up to what irritated me. We walked around some more, admiring the streets of Denver when I stopped in front of a building with lights flashing around the title sign. The sign read “Late Night Café”. I smiled as wide as I could; this was the place I used to sneak out to when I was a teenager to get coffee and read poems and stories on stage. This place was my teenage years.
Alexis must’ve known what I was thinking when she saw me gazing at the sign. She used to be the look out when I snuck out and would cover for me. She smiled at me and opened the door; it made a cling noise as a bell hit the top of the door frame.
“Why are we going in this place?” Hannah whined from behind me.
“Oh, you’re not coming with us.” I said in a dark tone.
My mom walked up to us and told us she’d meet us back here in an hour. I nodded as she and her friends continued down the street. I gave the two bitches a sinister glare before marching into the café, Alexis following behind me.
I looked around the place; everything was exactly how I remembered it to be. The stage was the first thing you could see. It was small but just big enough for good entertainment. The café bar lie to the left of it. It was always crowded because of how delicious the coffee was. This night was no different, a long line had formed, long enough to crowd the space between the couches and tables on the other side.
Alexis and I squeezed between a young couple to get to the lounge area. This place felt exactly like home. The warm atmosphere, the delicate decorations, and the smell of fresh coffee all attacked me at once. I dropped onto my favorite couch right next to the biggest speaker in the café. The couch was black and soft as hell. One time I fell asleep on it and had to be woken up early in the morning. It was a hassle trying to sneak back into my house that night but I managed to accomplish it without anyone noticing, not even Alexis.
A person stepped onto the stage and tapped the microphone before announcing, “Hello everybody and welcome to poetry night!”
Everyone clapped but my heart bounded from my chest; poetry night was my favorite.
“First up, we’re glad to have Ms. Rachel Barr start off this night. Give it up for Rachel!” Everybody clapped again but her close friends at a nearby table whistled and howled.
“Hello,” she said in a soft voice, “I dedicate this poem to my boyfriend Grey.” She smiled and I followed her gaze to a boy about my age, curly hair, dimples in his cheeks, a good looking fellow I must say (yes he’s based on J)
“I’ve Been Waiting a long time,
A long time for someone like you to open the door
The door to my heart
I’ve been waiting for a life time
For someone like you to make me smile.
My smile; so hard to accomplish
For so many years I didn’t know how
How to breathe
How to love
True love forever.
I’ve been waiting to love someone like you
I’ve been waiting for my heart to mend
For you to bend it back into shape
I’ve been waiting.” She stopped for a moment before muttering, “Thank you.” I started to clap, indicating to the people in the back that couldn’t hear her that she had finished. That was why I loved the seat next to the biggest speaker, so I could hear every single word.
A couple of people took their turns, some funny poems, some sad poems, one terrible poem and one exceptionally amazing poem. But now it was my turn and even though I didn’t have anything with me, I had memorized the entire thing.
“This is a poem I wrote a while ago. It’s called ‘Silent Whispers’.” I began to recite,
Silent whispers of solace keep me from smiling again
A printed smile runs low on ink
It fades and never returns.
Reaching out to him, I call his name again hoping this time he’ll hear
But his back turns away, his respect is gone
As I kneel down to cry
A friendship torn in half like the sky caught in lightning
A midnight fever brings hell on Earth
A happy cry hangs from the lips.
No breathing is heard, not a sound at all
I don’t know if I’m alive and if I am, God help me
I don’t understand what he wants, or what he feels
And what I’m feeling I can’t explain
I just don’t know how.”
The entire café was silent. I added on “The End” to indicate that I was finished. A couple people laughed at that but otherwise the place remained quiet. I shot a glance at Alexis who then began to lead everyone in applause. However, this wasn’t any ordinary applause, this was a symphony to my ears. Everyone cheered and clapped; some people in the back stood up. I looked to my right and saw a group of girls still awestruck; one was even crying. I knew this was my best poem, I just didn’t know how greatly it affected everyone.
The announcer lady stepped up and kindly told me to take my seat. I nodded to her and stepped off the stage to sit back with Lexi. As I got nearer to my seat, a small group of people including Rachel and Grey approached me.
“You’re Tailynn Richards, aren’t you?” Rachel said to me.
“Um, yes I am.” I twisted my fingers together, afraid they might attack me.
“You’re my god damn hero!” Rachel burst out, taking my nervous hand, “you wrote ‘Love Has No Boundaries’ right?” I slowly smiled and nodded.
“That book helped me through so much.” A boy behind Grey addressed me, “My mom accepted who I was after she read it. She accepts Austin.” The boy held up his hand that was connected to another; another boy (whom I presumed was Austin) was next to him and he smiled with joy in his blue eyes.
“Wow, I’m honored you guys…” Was all I could think of saying, “Thank you so much.”
“No, thank you. We owe everything to you after the way you helped us.” Austin said.
“You’re welcome.” I gleamed before realizing I had to get back to my sister. “I have to get going now guys, I’ll-”
“Autograph please?” Rachel interrupted me and held up a notebook and a pen.
“Yeah of course.” I took the pen and began to sign my name over and over on different objects.
When I was finished I returned the pen to Rachel and said goodbye to the group. I couldn’t believe that even happened; this was definitely my night.

Again, sorry for no Smoshyness but Part 16 will have some in it so yay! :D :D
and yes, those two poems were poems I'd written a while ago :)

Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 14

“Tailynn! Are you ready yet?!” I heard my mom call from downstairs.
“Just a minute!” I shouted back. Alexis was in my room getting ready with me. I was at my vanity combing my brown hair when I heard a car door slam from outside my room.
Alexis rushed to the window and peered out from the curtain. “Your bitches are here.” She announced to me.
I laughed, “Oh joy.”
“Guess that means we’re gonna have to get down there and get this over with.” She sighed as she walked passed me to the door.
“Okay, let’s do this.” I replied and followed her out.
“Hello Hannah and Darcy!” I heard my mother sing out as she opened the front door before they even rang the doorbell.
“Oh God, here goes.” Alexis and I trotted downstairs. I was wearing a black party dress that came down just before my knees. The rest of my legs were covered by black shiny leggings accompanied by six inch platform boots. I had my hair down but had Alexis help me by putting in mini black bow clips around the top. Alexis wore dark blue leggings with a long designer shirt that went just passed her butt. Her brown wavy hair flopped beyond her shoulders and a dark blue headband wrapped around the top of her head.
When we got to the bottom of the stairs, I finally got to see my ex best friends face to face. Both were still absolutely gorgeous. Hannah was the first to smile at me with her perfect white straight teeth. I remembered back in elementary school when she had terrible teeth; then all through middle and half of high school she had braces. Senior year she got them off and suddenly every boy wanted to date her. But it all wasn’t about just her teeth; her deep chestnut colored hair glowed radiant, every movement it took was majestic. It was as if she had hair fairies designed to keep her hair perfect at every single moment. I played with my hair just looking at her; wishing it had the same volume and shine. Hannah was a white girl but was tanned enough to make you think otherwise; and it was never a bad tan either. In other words; Hannah was perfect and I was surprised I was even her friend to begin with.
“Hello gorgeous!” She said to me, forcing me into a huge hug. Her comment made me blush but I swiped it away quickly.
“Um, hey!” I tried to sound confident.
She let go to say hi to Alexis. That’s when Darcy stepped up to me. Darcy was not the same yet very different from Hannah; it wasn’t a surprise that they were still friends and I was left out for so long. Darcy was 100% natural. She had long golden blonde hair that came down in natural curls to the top of her chest. She never had to brush it and she hardly ever straightened it because it was just beautiful the way it was. Her skin was a perfect peach color, she didn’t need to tan. I remembered in middle school when all the girls started wearing makeup, Darcy’s parents “wouldn’t allow” her to but eventually I realized that wasn’t the case. Darcy didn’t need makeup, the most I’d ever seen her wear was at prom when she used nude lipstick and splashed on some glitter eye shadow. This evening was no different; she had a tiny bit of purple eyeliner that curved around her eyes, a hint of lip gloss and glitter on her neck.
“Well look at you!” She exclaimed, “Don’t you look…” she eyed me up and down, “different.” She faked a smile before touching my shoulder. Even though she was natural, her ego had definitely gotten to her tiny little brain.
“Aw thanks, and you look,” I eyed her in the same manner, “interesting.” I smiled and touched her shoulder back knowing I had faltered that sharp ego.
I heard her mumble something to herself as she followed Hannah’s path and greeted Alexis. Hannah clicked her heels back to the front door and turned to smile at my sister and I. I smiled back as sweetly as I could; but this night was already a disaster.
We heard another car door slam from outside and I realized it must’ve been my mothers friends. I was ready to get this over with.
“Okay we should just meet them outside; that sounds nice right?” I indicated my sister to agree with me.
“Oh right, yeah we should leave now common.” She pulled on my mom’s sleeve and practically dragged her outside. She was yelling to my dad about feeding Brock and putting him to bed.
“He’s eight mom, not four.” I reminded her as we walked to her friends’ car.
Hannah and Darcy followed close by me, I felt as if they were going to attack me from behind so I casually swung around and smiled.
“After you.” I offered the front row of the mini van to the two bitches and they slid in. I caught a glimpse of Darcy’s face. Her expression was sour, as if she had eaten a lemon raw. I could tell she hated being in a mini van, or any van at all. I held in a laugh as I shut the door and opened the back doors to get into the second row with Alexis. My mom jumped in next to me and as soon as the door slid shut and the click of her seatbelt rang throughout the van, my mom’s friend Nancy, who was driving, literally slammed her foot down on the pedal.
The entire van lurched forward; luckily we had all had our seatbelts on but I laughed at Hannah and Darcy’s reaction.
“Nan, this isn’t a sports car, you can’t do things like that!” I shouted up to her.
“I know darlin’” she spoke in a southern accent, “But my son took the sports car for the weekend so I’m stuck with this darn thing.”
Her son Tommy was hot as hell. I remember having the biggest crush on him back in high school. Of course, he didn’t even notice me until graduation when we ran into each other trying to get food at the buffet line. Even after then, whenever my mom and I would go to Nancy’s house, Tommy either wasn’t there, or busy upstairs. Honestly, I missed his gorgeous face.
We quickly (and safely) made it down town to the city lights. Denver was beautiful this time of year; the weather was perfect, the atmosphere was great, the streets weren’t too crowded; I knew that even though I hated two of the people with me, this night could possibly work out after all.
Nancy parked in a parking garage; something I was deathly afraid of. Alexis had to help me get out of the car and once I was out, I booked it to the door that contained the stairs. I heard Alexis closely follow behind me and smiled. I was sure happy she was with me. I took her hand and we walked up the stairs. I heard the door open again as the rest of the group took their sweet time to follow us.
When Alexis and I got to the surface, we had to wait in the warm air. I looked around me and sighed; this place was fantastic. Lights shown up from all angles, a horse drawn carriage trotted down the street, a happy couple nested inside. It wasn’t like I had never seen city lights before; I live in Los Angeles. It was the fact that I hadn’t seen my hometown’s city lights in forever and I was more than happy to share it with my sister.
I turned back around to see Hannah and Darcy make their way up to the surface. Hannah was panting and Darcy leaned on her to rub her foot. They muttered stuff back and forth to each other, occasionally glancing at me and rolling their eyes. I just smiled, thrilled that they already wanted to go back home or to a party with their real friends.
My mom, Nancy and her other friend Carol were the last to come up. I took a deep breath when my mom asked if we were ready to head out down the streets.
“Yes mom,” I grinned, “I think we’re ready.”

Sorry there's no Smoshy Goodness in it :( Oh wellz

Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 13

The flight there was surprisingly quiet and still. There weren’t many people on board; no children, nobody who was scared of flying, just a couple of business women and men and other passengers flying alone including me.
When I got to the Denver airport, I found my duffle bag and heaved it over my shoulder. I walked out to the lobby and searched the benches for my family. I stood in the middle of the lobby feeling like an idiot when I heard my name being called. I whipped my head around until I saw my little sister waving at me. My mom was behind her motioning me towards them. I smiled and headed straight for them.
I set my bag down before diving into my mothers arms. Her touch made my heart warm and tears rushed to my eyes. When we separated she took my cheeks in her hands and smiled, “I missed my baby girl.” She said and kissed my forehead.
“Hey!” I heard Alexis shout. I looked over at her and grinned. She smirked before wrapping her arms around my neck in a huge hug. Of course she was a bit taller than me so people always confused who was older. But that didn’t matter this moment, right then I was happy to see her.
“Where’s Brock and dad?” I asked.
“We haven’t told them yet.” My mom winked and I laughed,
“Oh boy, this’ll be fun.” I smiled as I picked up my bag from the ground and headed towards the exit.
I spotted my mother’s van from miles away; it wasn’t that hard to find considering how huge it was. Long story short; she used to own a daycare so she bought that gigantic thing. All three of us walked to the van; my mom opened up the trunk and I threw my bag in it. I hopped in the front seat, expecting my mom to sit next to me. To my surprise, Alexis opened the door and sat in the drivers seat.
“Woah!” I exclaimed, “What the hell are you doing?”
“Oh, I have my permit now,” She smiled proudly, “I drove all the way here and I’ll drive all the way back.”
I suddenly became nervous. I fidgeted in my seat, twisting my fingers together and biting my lip, “Mom!” I finally turned around, “You let her drive here?”
“Yeah, she’s a great driver!” She smiled and gave Alexis a thumbs up.
I gulped as she started the car. Usually I didn’t wear a seatbelt (Yes, I know I’m bad) but today I was sorta fearing for my life. I grabbed the seatbelt and strapped myself in.

Luckily we made it back home alive, the airport wasn’t too far away from my childhood house, and I was happy about that. Alexis made a fair parking job in our driveway next to my dad’s Ford Truck. My family liked to own big cars.
We all hopped out at the same time; I saw my mom take my duffle bag out of the trunk and wrap it around her shoulder.
“You two go first,” I said to Alexis and my mom, “I’ll hide behind you and surprise them.” They nodded in agreement to the plan and we snuck up to the door. Alexis opened it up and we all made our way inside.
“Well hey you two, it took you long enough to get to the store and back!” I heard my dad’s rough voice at the dinner table.
“We weren’t exactly at the store…” My mom said and they separated to reveal me.
“Tailynn?!” My dad smiled with delight.
“Daddy!” I ran up to give him a hug. I always felt like a little girl when I was in his loving arms.
“Tay Tay?!” I heard my little brother call out my nickname.
“Brocky!” I spun around and hugged the crap outta him.
“What are you doing here?” His voice was muffled through my shirt. I let him go before answering,
“I’m here to visit! My boyfriend is in New York so I needed a place to go to keep my mind off of him and here was the best place I could think of!”
“You’re boyfriend?” My dad got curious.
“Yeah his name is An-” I stopped mid-sentence. I had to quickly think of a different name, a name Alexis wouldn’t recognize. “Antonio. Yeah. He’s latino.” I cleared my throat and made an exit upstairs where my room used to be. That was a close one.
“Hey!” Alexis trailed behind me.
“Hey yourself!” I continued to climb the stairs.
“You aren’t gonna tell me anything about him? I thought we always told each other everything.” Her tone of voice made me stop and turn around.
“I just don’t think you’d wanna hear about the things we do and stuff. I don’t hate you for being curious but I just need a little space, okay?” I put my hand on top of her brown curly head.
“Okay, what ever you say.” She slumped back downstairs and gave me time to get to my room and unpack.
I turned the corner and made my way to my room; my old room. The last time I had been in here I was packing up all my valuables for California. My mom was crying in the doorway and my twelve year old sister was trying to comfort five year old Brock in his room. The memory of that one day left my mind as quickly as it had come. I wanted to have a fun time here; I didn’t want to remember the past and what I had done to my family three years ago.
I sat on my twin sized bed and set my bag on the ground next to it. This bed felt so small without there being an extra space meant for Nicolette or Anthony. Every thing in this room felt so small; my closet, my nightstand, my vanity, even my window was small. I never realized how cooped up I really was in here; no wonder I left.
I heard my name being called from downstairs. I didn’t hesitate from getting up, I was anxious to hear what my mother wanted to do now that I was here. I bounded downstairs like when I was a little girl at Christmas, running to see what Santa had brought me. I headed towards the kitchen where I heard my name.
“So we were thinking about doing something fun tonight!” My mom spoke from the stove; she was making lunch.
“Like what?” I asked, sitting on one of the kitchen stools.
“Like going downtown at night; to remind you of what downtown Denver looks like with all the lights. Does that sound good?” She turned to look at me for an answer.
“Yeah that sounds great!” I spun around on the stool.
“Okay Hannah and Darcy will be here around 6 and-”
“Woah, woah, woah Hannah and Darcy?!” I interrupted her; stopping in mid spin.
“Yeah, what’s wrong with them? They used to be your best friends in high school!” My mom turned her whole body to face me.
“Yeah, that was in high school, a place I don’t wanna remember! Those girls turned into complete bitches the last time I saw them! Why do you think I hung out with Nicolette all the time?” I tried to see the good in them coming but just couldn’t find it.
“Oh common Tay, two of my friends will be there too, so it’s not like you’re going to be alone with them.” She put her hand on her hip which was a warning sign. A sign that told me I better listen to her or she’ll send me back to California.
“Okay, okay fine.” I sighed and continued to spin.
My mom turned back to the stove. It was quiet until Alexis came sprinting towards us from the dining room.
“Hey mom, why can’t I come with?!” She asked.
“Yeah mom, why can’t she come with?!” I mimicked her but meant what I said. If Alexis was there, that could possibly take away some of the awkward moments that were sure to come.
“Because downtown Denver is too busy at night and I don’t want to lose you.” Was her simplest answer.
“Seriously?” Alexis whined, “I’m taller than Tailynn! If you’re going to lose anyone it’d be the daughter you’re willing to take the most!” She pointed at me.
“True dat.” I smiled. When I stopped spinning in the stool, the room didn’t. I held the counter to balance myself.
“Well….” My mom had stopped cooking again to look at us, “Well I guess you have a point there.”
“Sooooo, can I go with?” I saw Alexis cross her fingers behind her back.
“I guess so.”
“YES!” Alexis ran over to me and I high fived her.
The good news was Alexis was coming with to help me stand my ground. The bad news? I was gonna have to deal with some tough ass bitches in four hours.

Live, Laugh, Learn, Love- Part 12

“Today’s the day!” I said to myself. Nicolette had already left for The Philippians and I was left alone in the house for a day before I had to leave for Colorado.
My plane left at 4:00 and it was 2:00 now; I decided it’d be best if I left as soon as I was finished; all I had left to do was set my DVR and get my stuff out to my car. My car was a crappy beat up old VW Bug. When I got it, I thought it was the best thing ever; that was when I was sixteen. Since Nico had gotten her bad ass convertible, that’s what I always drove around in. Now I was forced to drive the piece of crap to the airport.
“Oh well,” I said as I thought about it, “Better than nothing.”
I set my DVR so it could record all my favorite shows for the week. I didn’t mind missing some but the others were mandatory and I had to see them. Finishing the record settings I went to my room and grabbed my duffel bag. That bag was magic; you could fit anything and every thing into it and it wouldn’t get full.
I took my keys off of the kitchen counter and headed out the door. Locking it behind me I shut it and teetered down the stairs. I threw my stuff into the trunk of my so-called car and got into the front. I drove down to the airport in the quiet. The radio had died years ago but I never really had the money or will-power to get it fixed. I rolled down all the windows to make it feel like Nico’s convertible but to no avail; I hated this car.
Finally I saw the sign to the LA airport and sighed in relief, I had to get out of this thing. I found the closest parking space and took it. I was surprised my Bug even made it this far. As I walked down the parking lot to the entrance, duffle bag hanging from my shoulder, I passed a couple of cars that resembled Anthony’s. My heart jumped each time I saw one but I didn’t know if any of them were actually his. I had never paid any attention to his license plate which I now realized could’ve been a good idea.
Even so, I made my way to the airport and entered with excitement shivering throughout my body. I was stoked to see my family; I was kind of relieved that I was going to spend a week with them to keep my mind off of not seeing Anthony. I needed them.
I made my way through security and luggage, all I had to do was wait. I sat near the entrance of my flight and checked the time on my cell phone; it read 3:40. I was ready to get outta here, ready to spend time with my family, ready to-
“Tailynn?” A familiar male’s voice made me turn around in my seat.
“Anthony?” My heart skipped two beats.
“What are you doing here?” he asked me as he walked up to hug me.
I realized I hadn’t told him a thing. “I’m going to visit my family while you’re gone.” I said.
I laid my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. I listened to his heartbeat and closed my eyes; I already missed his touch.
“Where’s Ian?” I asked, my head still resting on him.
“Sitting on a bench,” his voice was muffled; it mixed in with his heartbeat. I smiled embracing every last moment I had with him; trying to memorize what he felt like. “Over there.” He finished his sentence when I lifted my head. He pointed to where he’d come from. I looked behind Anthony to see Ian sitting in a seat; his crutches leaned up against it. He turned around and waved at me. I grinned and waved back.
“Where’s Nicolette?” Anthony returned the question.
“She flew to The Philippians to visit her parents. We’ve got the same idea; visit our families to keep ourselves sane while you’re gone.” I gave a half smile.
“Hmm, I didn’t know that’s where she was from,” he laughed, “but I’m glad you’re getting yourselves out of your apartment. That’s good.” He looked at me with his beautiful brown eyes.
“Me too; the only problem is, my sister Alexis is pretty much in love with you guys and I haven’t told her who my boyfriend is yet. I don’t want to…” I explained. Anthony took my hand and tried to comfort me,
“Don’t worry, just tell her when the time is right; I’m sure she’ll understand.” I tried to smile but the will to argue with him took over my mind,
“Remember the first day I met you?” he nodded. “Alexis still thinks I act like that when I hear, talk or think about Smosh. That’s the real problem.”
“Maybe if I met her and told her myself?” he suggested. “I mean, she’s going to have to find out sooner or later if we’re gonna stay together for a long time.” My stomach flipped just hearing him say we weren’t going to separate permanently anytime soon.
“I think I’ll tell her before I leave, and then when you get back, you can confirm it and try to make her not hate me.” I shrugged.
“Okay good plan.”
“Hey guys!” I heard Ian shout; I tapped Anthony to move out of the way so I could see him.
“What do you want?” I joked.
“Come over here and give me another hug goodbye Tay! Geez!” He spread his arms open wide towards me. I laughed as I rushed over to him and leaped into his arms, almost falling over.
“You weirdo.” I heard him say.
I looked up and stuck my tongue out at him. He pretended to bite it.
“You freak.” I laughed. He was about to make a come back when we heard my flight being called.
“Okay, have fun going where ever you’re going!” Ian smiled. I kissed him on the cheek,
“Don’t worry I will.”
I walked back to Anthony and sighed, realizing I had to say goodbye yet again.
“I have to go now…” I trailed on.
“Flight 33 now boarding.” The next flight was called.
“Oh well, that’s us.” Anthony looked up at where the voice had come from.
I hugged him again before taking his face in my hands, “Call me every day.” I reminded him before placing his lips on mine.
“Don’t worry, I will.” We kissed again until my flight was called for a second time.
“Guess I have to go before they leave without me.” I chuckled.
“Okay; us too.” We smiled at the same time before I had to turn and leave him.
This trip to Colorado had to be good; it just had to.
